IMDB is reporting that Michael Bay has had enough with the Transformers franchise and that Revenge of the Fallen will be his final Transformers film.
Be it because of burnout from dealing with ever sci-fi and comic geek who was bitter that the CGI robots didn't look like what they had envisioned in thier sad little brains as they dreamed snuggly in thier mother's basement (like, and I am dead serious, how people freaked the fuck out when they saw that Optimus Prime had lips in the first film) or because he has had enough of Shia Labeouf's enormous left foot (and the no talent drunken hack attached to it) ruining his masterpiece at every turn, Michael Bay announced Thursday that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be his last foray into the world of the Transformers.
"After the three-and-a-half years I've spent making these movies, I feel like I've had enough of the Transformers world. I need to do something totally divergent, something without any explosions."
Now of course he is saying this before Optimus Prime and the rest of the Autobots unleash holy hell on summer movie goers and the movie makes hundreds of millions of dollars and Paramount pictures opens up a Scrooge McDuck vault of cash and lets Michael do a few laps while he makes real sure that he does not have any new ideas for films with huge fighting alien robots and a shitload of explosions.
Let's see him stand before that and say he wants to go shoot an artsy movie in the south of France.
Like Ted DiBiase always said...
"Every man has his price..."
