5 summer movies I can't wait to see...

20061222_sunburnSummer time has come to mean big budget Hollywood movies as much as it means sunburns and sand n your crotch.  Big stars, big explosion, big laughs... summer movies usually have it all.

And this summer is no different...

While there are allot of interesting flicks coming out in the next few months, I have a list of five movies that, to be totally honest with you, I am more excited to see than I am my own fiancée in her wedding dress.

So I give you...

Five Movies That I Am Dying To See This Summer...

1). Robin Hood

Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott getting back together to do another movie where a man must stand (with a sword, I might add) against an oppressive tyrant.  Let's keep our fingers crossed that this trip to Sherwood Forrest is more like Gladiator than it is Prince of Thieves.

The-A-Team

2). The A-Team

Liam Neeson and Rampage Jackson lead an all star cast in the big screen version of the 80's TV hit of the same name.  Sure, the movie is going to be a whole lot of mindless action sequences loosely held together by the flimsiest of scripts, but who cares???  That sounds an awful lot like the TV show which inspired it, and I do recall loving it (granted, at that time I also recall loving to pick my nose and eating my boogers, so there is something to be said about my tastes back then...)

3). Toy Story 3

Call me a fag if you want, but the third installment of the hit Pixar series has me all sorts of keyed up.  The first two were real good, and if you didn't shed a tear during the sad song of the lil' cowgirl in the second one then you are an unfeeling cocksucker.  Pixar usually delivers a knockout punch so this one should be more of the same.

4). Jonah Hex

You may have never heard of this comic book hero but this supernatural western about antihero hex being hired by the US military to go kill his arch nemesis Quinten Turnbull.  Acting greats Josh Brolin and John Malkovich bring this violent tale to stunning life.

5). The Last Airbender

M. Night Shyamalan has been kind of a one trick pony lately, what with his predictable plot twists and second grade horror themes.  But maybe his adaption of the Nickelodeon hit cartoon series has caught my interest.  The trailer looks killer.

*NOTE: You may have noticed that Iron Man 2 and The Expendables were conspicuously missing from this list, but it was done on purpose.  Iron Man 2 comes out this weekend, so there is no point in putting it on a list of flicks I can't wait to see¸ and I believe that the many homoerotic articles on this site should more than prove the level of my interest in The Expendables.
