Concert goers being charged to keep tickets...

A picture of Jackson taken during his last rehersal...How's this for an example of corporate compassion...

Concert goers that pre-bought tickets to one of the fifty shows Michael Jackson was going to do in London's O2 arena have been given an interesting choice.  See, they bought tickets to Michael Jackson comeback show(s).  But, what with his untimely death and all, the tickets seem to be nothing more than a bittersweet memoire of a special musician.  So concert goers could seek a refund for these tickets from concert promoters AEG Live, but before they do that, the good people of AEG would like to keep something in mind before you do so...

michael-jackson-last-photoAEG would like to remind the concert goers that the artwork on the ticket (special 3-D artwork, I might add) was directly inspired by the King of Pop himself.  The tickets for the concert were going anywhere from 55 to 75 pounds, and some 800,000 tickets had already been sold.  Concert goers have until August 15 to decide if they would rather have a few wadded sheckles of dirty money... or if forever they would like a timeless keepsake of a concert they never got the chance to see.

And speaking of things we thought we would never see...

Kevin MazurWhile telling the thousands of Michael Jackson fans who has sold out many of his London shows that they could get a refund for their tickets if they like (but really why would you...), AEG and famed rock photographer Kevin Mazur released exclusive photos of the pop singer doing a run through of his first stage show in over a decade.  The photos, taken two days before his untimely death, show a healthy Jackson in front of neon packed set.  The show promised to be a "magical experience" for the audience.

Oh, what could have been...
