Moore: "Man never behind Global Warming"

Global_Warming_EffectsWell... Ain't this just a kick in the dick to Al Gore...

Patrick Moore, the Canadian born  co-founder of Greenpeace, environmentalist of note, and business consultant, testified before congress today and made a rather startling admission.

"There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years," Moore told the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. He furthered his claim, stating that groups like his (he Patrick-Moorefounded and was a member of Greenpeace from 1971-86) relied on known faulty computer models and scare tactics in order to promote claims that the planets changing climate is directly tied to man made gases.

But that's not all...

He also said that he cut ties with his group (and with the militant Environmental movement all together) once he noticed it was politics, not planet saving these do gooding hippies really cared about:

“After 15 years in the top committee I had to leave as Greenpeace took a sharp turn to the political left, and began to adopt policies that I could not accept from my scientific perspective,” Moore said. “Climate change was not an issue when I abandoned Greenpeace, but it certainly is now.”

During his testimony to the committee, no doubt an effort to embarrass the President as he has focused his dictatorial powers most recently on further reducing the CAFE standards for vehicles (as well as placing some hampering rules on long hail trucking destine to hurt many of the independent drivers earning a living doing so), Mr. Moore discredited the consensus scientific view that mankind, through its emissions of carbons and other pollutants, is irreparably damaging the environment of this planet. (It will always boggle my mind how something so exact as science has a majority rule policy, but I digress.)

better-deadHe stated that the sophisticated computer models scientists have been using to predict the changing climate (and our politicians then use to force us into stifling laws and regulations) are not crystal balls, but rather bogus; based on models released by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change with the intent purpose of showing humans as the most likely cause for planetary warming in the twentieth century.

And he really doesn't think nice of them.

It's his opinion that those models the IPCC is basing everything on were based on scales the IPCC members themselves directly constructed them in order to gain such a result.

His testimony seems to harken back to a story from a few years ago, where the emails of scientists out of the University of  East Anglia admitted to making up the global warming data.

"Perhaps the simplest way to expose the fallacy of ‘extreme certainty’ is to look at the historical record. …When modern life evolved over 500 million years ago, CO2 was more than 10 times higher than today, yet life flourished at this time. Then an ice age occurred 450 million years ago when CO2 was 10 times higher than today. There is some correlation, but little evidence, to support a direct causal relationship between CO2 and global temperature through the millennia..."

He said that this fundamentally contradicts the notion that mans emissions of carbon dioxide is causing the planet to warm.

The Green Menace

That's all well and good... Nice to hear someone willing to talk reasonable about the climate warming issue...

God knows as we all lay pinned under the thumb of Jack Frost this winter, the idea has more than once crossed your mind to go running around spraying aerosol and letting the freon out of your neighbors AC unit in order to spear this whole planet warming process up... Because the fact is, it hasn't. It's a cycle, more likely based on solar cycles and other interstellar mumbo jumbo than it is on anything we shit for brains humans could ever do.

Sure, we could kill ourselves.... Dirty up our water and use up our land until we have a lifeless dessert for us to die upon. But the idea that we could actually change the planet by merely existing... It's arrogance!

But it will also never be heard, this story- just as the emails from a few years who- buried by a media unwilling to even discuss any other likelihood. Why, just last October the LA Times outright banned any Letters to the Editors about the topic of Climate Change, stating the the book had been closed on the matter.

Think you are going to hear about this on any news cast, local or national? See it printed in any newspaper?

No. We'll learn all about Robin Thicke's divorce and get some cheap laughs at a stupid basketball player, but we won't hear anything about this.

Rather, we'll still be told we are kIlling the planet by being here...

Still to be scared to death by ghoulish newscasters of the horrors the thinning ice of the polar caps will bring to us all (all done following a story about a rescue mission to save a team of environmentalists going to the pole to measure said thinning ice, only to find themselves hopeless stuck within it's thickness).

Our children will be force fed this pap, told their only safety will be found only when they relinquish to crippling taxes and economy halting regulation intent to curb it before it's too late.

All because a Political movement (the Communists) figured out we care about the planet more than we do workers....

Give them this much, they are nothing if not clever...
