We Are All Charlie... Sorta...

11215-charlie-je-suis-charlieSooo... Maybe not all of us are Charlie after all?

In the wake of the violent attacks on the French satire magazine, Charlie Hebdo, the world's media and humorists boldly took to the front and proclaimed their solidarity with their slain brothers in arms. They hashtaged tweets, voiced outrage, and looked somberly into the camera as they grimly expressed to the faceless boogie men daring to shut them up that they will not go quietly into that good night...

No sir.

They were gonna stick it to the man... Stick it right up their...

Oh... Well, they had good intentions of sticking it to the man... Or Islam, as the case may be, but damned if that pesky political correctness didn't just put a hitch in their giddy up, didn't it...

11215-charlie-cover1The outrage fell fast and hard, buckling itself as it quickly took an anti-PC bend; the dialogue quickly switching from one of being free to say whatever we want maaaaaaan, no matter how ugly into a witch-hunty, finger point fest in which the world started showing a bit of its sickness with the behavior coming out of Islam.

You remember them, right?

That grand religion of Peace that seems to keep making this all too predictable heel turn? (I mean really... Just once I'd like to see a bomb go off because of something crazy the Buddhists got digging in their ass or something.... Christ!)

Well, in case you missed it, a quick recap:

Three Frenchy nuts got their hijabs all up in a bunch due to some French rag (think a more mature subjected Mad Magazine) giving Muhammad a little shit.  Following the rather strict commands of their Holy Book, these three gathered them some machine guns, a few grenades, and an RPG and took a drive to the magazine headquarters, where they shot the shit out of the place, killing twelve people in total.

This triggered the turning on of "jihadi sleeper cells" in France, a hostage situation taking four more lives (which is said t be linked to the day prior's attack) and the prompting of a massive multimillion person attending rally in Paris to declare solidarity against these terrorist threats…

Threats coming from Islam.

But not all are standing shoulder to shoulder with the bravely defiant French people (who for whatever reason have unarmed cops riding bikes around their capital...)...

11215-charlie-cover2Like the head of Al Jazeera News' English News division and an executive producer for the network, Salah-Aldeen Khadr.

He had a slightly different perspective in the matter... One that he made sure the company understood was the tow line in an APB styled email.

In plain speak, Khadr wanted nothing to do with the speech of Charlie Hebdo, claiming the cartoons of the journal were inflammatory, and that hanging the hope of free speech around such a banner was an infantile reaction to the killings.

"... Defending freedom of expression in the face of oppression is one thing; insisting on the right to be obnoxious and offensive just because you can is infantile. Baiting extremists isn’t bravely defiant when your manner of doing so is more significant in offending millions of moderate people as well. And within a climate where violent response—however illegitimate [sic]—is a real risk, taking a goading stand on a principle virtually no one contests is worse than pointless: it’s pointlessly all about you..." Khadr wrote in his staff wide email, charting out what he wanted Al Jazeera's perspective going into its coverage of the events.

Others in the company echoed his sentiments, such as this echoing by "roving" reporter (currently on assignment in Yemen....), Omar Al Salah:

“First I condemn the brutal killing,But I AM NOT CHARLIE. JOURNALISM IS NOT A CRIME [but] INSULTISM IS NOT JOURNALISM, AND NOT DOING JOURNALISM PROPERLY IS A CRIME.”

Living:On Feet::Dying:On Knees

So much for solidarity with the victims... Claiming they had it coming (more or less)... I'm sure they then blamed 11215-charlie-cover3the beaten woman for serving supper ten minutes too late and the molested toddler for being just so damned fuckable...

And you must know that these jackasses are not alone in their thought that the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists were sort of asking to get smacked for their naughty cartoons...

The New York Times and various bloggers and television talking heads alluded to as much; their own thoughts on the Freedom of Speech clouded by their Politically Correctness training to never dare offend a culture that wasn't WASPy in nature...

But just so we are clear...

Freedom of Speech means precisely that you can say whatever you want, no matter how ugly or offensive. Yes, in its primary application, it refers to political speech (hence why I can call President Obama a weak President who has misguidedly navigated this country into incredible domestic peril with his Leftist failed policies and dangers abroad due to his weak hand in foreign affairs), but it has been extended to all forms of expression, artistic to political. Say what you want, draw what you want... Express yourself in whatever tongue and style you choose.

11215-charlie-vivaexressYou don't have to affirm the right to say pleasant things...

No body (except maybe feminists) want to outlaw compliments and pleasantries.

It's the nasty, labia peeling back, racially insensitive, culturally stunted, blasphemous, vulgar speech you have to watch out for... The kind jackasses like these jerk offs would very much like to see punished when dared to be uttered (maybe not gunned down in the streets like dogs, their stomachs just too weak for such violence, but maybe a nice hefty fine or a few months in a windowless reeducation camp will better serve as a tool to get the collective mind right).

(Funny part about the majority of these bleeding hearts standing around with their "we are Charlie" swag... If left to their own devices, these would be the first to pine for the same sort of "protections" be afforded to their pet causes. We can already see such a bend in our culture, brought about by these very groups; the demand for public apologies and even more public terminations for any who dare step over the PC guard rails quick to come out of that side of the political aisle the second an opportunity arises to declare outrage...)

So the next time your friend gives you a dirty look because you dared to snicker at a sexist joke or that lady in your office objects to your recounting of FBI crime statistics due to some perceived racial bigotry on your account, realize that their actions are no different than those of these psychopaths avenging the slights made to their Man on a Cloud by this French magazine; the use of intimidation of stifle free expression.

As for this website, we fully stand with Charlie.

11215-charlie-mohammadMuhammad was a blood stained, slave owning warlord, and sadly his followers are following lockstep in his footsteps.

Hopefully those "moderate, peace loving Muslims" we keep being told about take the reigns of this madness before a more "final solution" to the Islamic threat is dreamed up...

And make no mistake, the more "final solution" will be found by the world if evolution in Islam is not achieved.
