Roe no mo'...

roeWhoever said irony was dead...

36 years after winning her landmark Supreme Court case which declared the killing of a baby a Constitutional right, Jane Roe (or Norma McCorvey) was arrested during a pro-life protest during the Senate confirmation hearing of Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor.  McCorvey and another woman, 68 year old Francis Mahoney, were escorted out and arrested for shouting out during Sen. Franken's (ugh... it still burns the fingers to type it...) opening statements.

roe todayOf course the irony here is not that the lady who fought so hard for the right to kill a baby is now getting arrested for protesting the right to kill a baby but rather that it seems that now it is illegal to heckle Al Franken.
