Ganja in our nation's capital might be closer than we think...
When Washington DC voters approved the medicinal usage of marijuana in 1998, their voices were silenced by Federal strong-arming which threatened to cut funding to our nation's capital should they decide to follow through on the initiative.
But a new spending bill, which has already been passed by the House of Representatives, lifts the ban on medicinal marijuana in Washington DC. The spending bill is expected to fly through the Senate with ease and be signed by the President thereafter.
No word yet as to if this move will green light (no pun intended) the medicinal usage of marijuana in our nation's capital, but we at The Weekly Constitutional are going to stay on top of this story and let you know the second any news on the matter comes up.
