But there have been a couple of really interesting petitions that have been floating around out there in dire need of our support to get the necessary 25,000 signatures by the December 15th deadline in order to get an “official response” from the Obama Administration.
The first one I would like to bring to our attention is the move by some concerned citizens to bring about a DREDD justice system to the United States; modeled after the judge/jury/executioner character of comic book and movie fame.
According to the petition:
This is a petition to dissolve the current legal system and replace it with a single Hall of Justice, run by Judges; motorcycle-riding law officers who act as police, judge, jury, and executioner.
For some odd reason, this petition is just 21000 signatures shy from the President having to take time out of his busy day of keeping the world from falling face first into a nuclear Armageddon to address.
The second, a needing slightly less signers with just under a 20,000 vote deficit, calls for the United States to construct a statue of the Master Chief- from Halo fame- because (in the words of the petition) “…He deserves more praise for what he has done”… A sentiment that I’m sure most of us can agree with.
The final petition… and arguably the most important of the petitions being passed around currently, calls for the government of the United States to secure the resources and funding necessary to begin the construction of a Death Star no later than 2016.
Those who sign here petition the United States government to secure funding and resources, and begin construction on a Death Star by 2016.
By focusing our defense resources into a space-superiority platform and weapon system such as a Death Star, the government can spur job creation in the fields of construction, engineering, space exploration, and more, and strengthen our national defense.
Having lured in some 6100 signers, it needs to gather another 19000 more in order before President Obama has to address it publicly.ion, engineering, space exploration, and more, and strengthen our national defense.
I think it goes without saying that it is the responsibility of all of us to make sure we get those 19000 signatures by December 15th.
