Eager to compete for the world's tightening tourism dollars, Denmark has decided to try a new way to get the word out to people looking for a place to vacation this winter... by telling the world that their women are easy and don't like to use condoms.
Yes that's right. Never mind theme parks or national monuments or traditional things of the sort... Denmark is hoping to increase tourism through cheap meaningless sex.
Thursday, the Scandinavian country's tourism agency posted a video on YouTube which featured a hot blonde Danish chick holding a baby in her arms and stating that she got the baby due to a brief fling with a tourist.
After only a day on the Net, the advertisement was pulled off of YouTube (haha, cause things that get pulled off the internet go away forever...), but not before 800,000 people got a look at it. They pulled the video due to complaints from Danish people, claiming that the ad made Danish women come off as slutty and easy.
While I would usually be prone to teeing off on such a glaring example of Government waste, I don't live in Denmark. And to be honest with you I can see the wisdom (all be it kind of misguided) of their ad campaign. Not only do I see the wisdom, but being that the Ad game is a copy cat league, it will only be a matter of time before other nations/states get themselves in the "Sluts for tourists" game...
