A six year old boy in China has had to undergo an unusual surgery, having his five extra fingers and six extra toes removed from his hands and feet.
I see you counting on your fingers (for the record: its 31 digits in total).
The unnamed boy is apparently suffering from a very rare condition known as polydactyl, in which a person has more than five fingers per hand and five toes per foot. It took the doctors at a hospital in Shenyang, Liaoning six and a half hours to remove the boy's extra fingers and toes.
Prior to receiving his surgery, the boy’s mother said he was the subject of constant torment in his kindergarten class, with his fellow students avoiding him, and calling him "monster".
This living PT Barnum exhibit comes fresh on the heels of last month's "Fish Baby" who was born with a rare affliction which causes her skin to turn into fish like scales on her skin.
Not for nothing folks, but how much you want to bet these little mutants from china are not the results of failed Chinese government experiments to create an army of super soldiers in order to strike at an ever weakening United States...Or could it be something in the water...
